(Hourly or fee, separate from Construction Documents phase)
The final stage is the construction of the idea. This is an intense, physical stage that sometimes involves coordination and cooperation from many people. It is the means to realizing the vision. During this phase the landscape architect acts to channel and direct project communications, report to the owner on the progress of the construction work, provide interpretations of drawings and documents, mediate disputes, and serve as an important presence at the site when required.
A common misunderstanding is that the landscape architect controls the quality of the contractor's work. This is not the case, since the builder has contracted directly with the owner and not the landscape architect.
